Privacy policy
What this site collects, what it never asks for, and how our Google Analytics works — in plain terms.
Keyward respects your privacy. This page explains, in plain terms, what data this site does and does not collect. We are a static educational site with no accounts; the main thing we measure — which pages get read — is handled through Google Analytics, explained below.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, wallet addresses, or private keys — we would never ask for a seed phrase or key, and neither should anyone else. If you email us, we keep your message and address only to reply. If you subscribe to updates, we store the email address you give us and nothing more.
Analytics and cookies
Keyward measures readership with Google Analytics 4, a Google service (Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd.). The figures cover pages viewed, the referring site, an approximate city- or country-level location, device and browser type, and session timing — when a visit starts and how long it runs. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We keep advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation switched off, so nothing it gathers is used for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
Two first-party cookies come with it: _ga and _ga_<ID>, each lasting up to two years. Neither is placed until analytics has been allowed. In Europe (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, which we infer from the time zone your device reports), you are asked first through a banner, and no data reaches Google unless you click Accept. Outside Europe, analytics is on by default and can be turned off at any moment. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we honour it as an opt-out. Whatever you choose is saved in your browser's local storage under the key analytics-consent — not in a cookie.
Change your analytics choice at any time; the link reopens the banner. For how Google itself handles the data, see Google's privacy policy. To block Google Analytics on every site, Google offers an opt-out browser add-on.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links routed through a redirect. Following one may let the destination know you came from Keyward so a commission can be attributed; it does not share personal information from us. See our affiliate disclosure for details. Once you land on a third-party site, such as a hardware-wallet maker or exchange, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date; it was last updated on October 9, 2026. Questions about privacy can go to [email protected].
